Biography

I was wishing to get a SCUBA when I was 5 years old, but it took me another 15 years before I got my first experience in exploring the oceans. By now, my focus of interest switched from the macroscopic beauty to the microscopic diversity of microorganisms.

Research Interests

During my stay at KAUST I aim to evaluate the diversity of viruses associated with corals and Symbiodinium and to understand the impact of viruses on coral reefs.
