Having completed my B.Sc.(H) in Biotechnology and M.Sc. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, I worked towards a PhD degree at the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Biology, Germany. I am primarily interested in using genetic data to answer research questions in evolutionary biology. At KAUST, I am part of the Voolstra group and use bioinformatic tools to explore various aspects of coral reef biology.
