I have a magic connection with ’Science&Technology’ universities. I graduated from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC, China) and gained my master’s degree in biochemistry&molecular biology. Afterwards I worked at the Shanghai Tech University as a research assistant, and now I am honored to be a lab technician in the Reefgenomics lab, in the Red Sea Research Center, KAUST. My main responsibilities in lab include: to assist with lab research, to maintain laboratory equipment, to organize and manage chemicals/consumables/life science reagents, procurement of standard/catalogue and non-catalogue/international items, to maintain and oversee microbial cultures (bacteria, algae) and marine invertebrates (anemones, coral - which includes feeding, water changes, health monitoring),. Furthermore I will be the lab Safety Representative, and prepare samples for laboratory analysis.
