miRNA modulate the host transcriptome during symbiont infection

Check out our latest publication by Sebastian Baumgarten et al. reporting on posttranslational modifications during symbiont infection mediated by miRNAs. The identified miRNA target-genes that undergo regulation match previously observed changes in gene expression during infection, hence supporting the idea that miRNAs play an important role in symbiont uptake and recognition.
